专家简介： 琚强昌，北京应用物理与计算数学研究所研究员，博士生导师。在河南师范大学获得学士和硕士学位后，于2003年在中科院数学所获博士学位，师从肖玲研究员。2003年至2005年在德国和意大利从事博士后研究。研究领域为：可压缩流体力学方程的数学理论,部分研究成果发表在包括Adv. Math., ARMA，Comm. Math. Phy.和SIAM JMA等在内的国际重要学术期刊，主持多项国家自然科学基金。

摘要: We study the singular limit for equatorial shallow water equations at low Froude number forming a symmetric hyperbolic system with large variable coefficient terms. Based on the convergence result of Durtrifoy, Majda and Schochet [Comm. Pure Appl. Math(2009)], we further obtain the convergence rate estimates of the solutions. This is a recent joint work with Prof. Jiang, Song and Dr. Xu, Xin.
