专家简介：罗勇，博士，重庆理工大学教授。2007年本科毕业于武汉大学，2013年博士毕业于德国弗莱堡大学。主要研究方向：体积泛函和Willmore泛函的变分问题以及双调和映射理论。获得过多项国家和省部级科研基金资助。曾在德国莱比锡马克斯-普朗克应用数学研究所做为期一年的博士后研究，访问过中国多所大学和研究机构，并应邀作学院或会议报告。美国数学会MathReview评论员，多个国际期刊的审稿人。2012年至今在国际期刊上发表学术论文20余篇。

Critical points of the bienergy functional are called biharmonic maps, and isometric biharmonic maps are called biharmonic submanifolds, which are natural generalizations of harmonic maps and minimal submanifolds respectively. In this talk we will discuss various non-existence results of proper biharmonic maps (that is, biharmonic maps which are not harmonic) .
